TYPO3 agency in Vienna —
accessible, GDPR-compliant, AI-accelerated.
For many years we have been building and maintaining TYPO3 websites for Austrian institutions, associations and mid-sized companies. Designed for WCAG 2.1 AA, hosted inside the EU, and delivered with AI-agent-assisted development at a pace that used to require a 10-person team.
What a TYPO3 agency does for you — and what we add on top.
TYPO3 is the CMS of choice for public authorities, NGOs, mid-sized industry and training institutions across Europe. We look after such portals across several major versions — from the first concept through migration, maintenance and continuous extension.
TYPO3 development & extensions
New TYPO3 sites, site packages, custom content elements and extensions. Extbase/Fluid, modern frontends with Tailwind, Vite and Alpine. Site Sets instead of classic TypoScript templates.
Migration & version upgrades
Upgrades from TYPO3 10 / 11 / 12 to v14 LTS, including extension compatibility, deprecation fixes, template porting, database schema updates and editor training on the new backend.
Accessibility per BFSG / EAA 2025
WCAG 2.1 AA — technical audits, redesign of accessibility-critical elements, screen-reader testing, conformity statement under Austrian WZG / German BFSG. More on accessibility audits →
Maintenance, security & operations
TYPO3 security patches applied within 24 hours, performance monitoring, recurring health checks across multiple major versions. Commercial SLAs for mission-critical portals.
These are the portals we look after — often for more than a decade.
A federal fund, a research society, a nationwide NGO, a training organisation — four very different portals with one thing in common: high demands on stability, accessibility and editor usability.
Arbeiter-Samariterbund Austria
Federal portal and regional chapters, maintained for many years across several TYPO3 major versions.
View case →Austrian Integration Fund
Portal for ÖIF, a fund of the Republic of Austria and federal partner in integration support.
View case →
Christian Doppler Research Association
Research body at the intersection of academia and industry, a portal with heavy editorial throughput.
View case →McDonald’s Del Frate
Franchise portal for the Del Frate group, with multiple locations across Vienna and Lower Austria.
View case →Two people, AI agents at their back. Output of a 10-person team.
We work spec-driven: before any line of code there is a fully thought-through specification — decisions, architecture, test cases. Only then do we generate code with Claude Code agents, verify every step and integrate it into the existing codebase.
The result: features that take a classical agency weeks we deliver in days — without cutting quality, with tests, code review and clean documentation.
Security response time
TYPO3 CVEs are applied and verified within one working day.
Years of continuous maintenance
Some portals we have looked after across 3–4 major versions — without a system change.
Direct communication
Editor training in German or English, no offshore ticket queue.
No vendor lock-in

What decision-makers typically ask us.
What does a TYPO3 website cost?
Simple corporate sites start at around EUR 5,000, typical institutional portals fall between EUR 15,000 and 80,000, and large multi-tenant solutions can reach EUR 150,000 and above. After the audit we name a fixed-price frame.
We are still on TYPO3 10 or 11. How does an upgrade to v14 work?
In two stages: first v10/11 → v12 LTS, then v12 → v14 LTS. We check every extension for v14 compatibility, migrate templates to Site Sets, fix deprecations and train your editors on the new backend. Typical duration: 4–12 weeks depending on size.
Our previous TYPO3 agency no longer exists — can you take over?
Yes, regularly. We run a code and infrastructure audit, document the legacy site, take over hosting if you wish and bring the installation up to current security standards. TYPO3 is open source — any professional TYPO3 agency can take over at any time.
Will the site be accessible under BFSG / WZG?
Accessibility is our default, not an add-on. We ship to WCAG 2.1 AA, test with screen readers (NVDA, VoiceOver) and produce the legally required conformity statement. Existing sites we audit as a separate engagement.
Do we train our editors ourselves, or do you do it?
We train — in German or English, on-site in Vienna or remote. The typical format: two sessions of 90 minutes plus a short written guide for new editors. For existing clients we run refresher workshops at every version upgrade.
Why TYPO3 and not WordPress or Drupal?
In Europe TYPO3 is the first choice for public authorities, NGOs and large companies with strict demands on permission and role systems, multilingualism, auditability and editorial workflows. WordPress is excellent for blogs and small sites but runs out of room for these requirements. More arguments at 10 benefits of TYPO3.
30 minutes is enough to know whether we’re a fit.
No sales pitch. You walk us through where you are and where you want to go, we tell you honestly how we can help — or who would be a better fit.
Or write three sentences about your TYPO3 project — we reply within 24 hours.
