A solo gynaecology practice in Vienna-Hietzing does not need heavyweight CMS machinery. What patients of Dr. Monika Matal are looking for is fairly contained: address, opening hours, services, directions — and the reassurance that this is the right specialist for what they are coming in with. We built the practice website in 2012 as a static HTML project with Adobe Dreamweaver, exactly fitted to that brief.
- Lean, static HTML pages without CMS overhead — fast page loads, no database, no maintenance treadmill
- Clear information architecture around core focus areas: pregnancy care, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, fertility, menopause
- Contact section with separate addresses for medical questions and appointment booking — matching how the practice actually communicates
- Directions and opening hours placed front and centre, since those are the top reasons people visit before a first appointment
- Tone deliberately calm and reassuring — the practice also looks after patients who find gynaecology visits intrinsically uncomfortable
- Visual design and technical implementation from a single team, so layout and content stay in sync
The practice website Dr. Matal commissioned from rockit in 2012 has quietly carried the digital first contact ever since — proof that "fit-for-purpose tech" is not the same as "as much tech as possible". Dr. Matal's practice celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2022 and continues to see patients in Vienna-Hietzing.
