GEZA - Der Welt die Hand reichen

GEZA, the development-cooperation arm of Austria's Workers' Samaritans, ran its projects, campaigns and donation appeals on a TYPO3 site we built.

back to overview

GEZA – „Gemeinnützige Entwicklungszusammenarbeit" – is the Vienna-based development NGO in the orbit of Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Österreich, Austria's workers' samaritans. Under the motto „der Welt die Hand reichen" – reaching out a hand to the world – GEZA runs projects across Africa and Central America: poverty alleviation, healthcare, education, local economic development, democracy, and women's rights. In parallel, it raises awareness in Europe, including the EU-funded AWARE campaign on the UN Millennium Development Goals. A site that has to cover that many fronts must guide donors, partners and journalists to the right project fast.

  • TYPO3 site editable by the GEZA team itself
  • Project and country sections for Western Sahara, Uganda, Mozambique, South Africa, Cameroon, Nicaragua and Guatemala
  • Campaign area for awareness formats such as the EU-co-funded AWARE project
  • Donation and sponsorship entry points anchored in header and footer
  • Newsroom for press releases, position papers and funding appeals
  • Bilingual material aimed at Austrian donors and international partners
  • Search-engine optimisation around development-cooperation topics
  • Visual design aligned with the Samaritan-organisation identity

The platform built with rockit gave GEZA, for years, a single stage to bundle project results, policy demands and concrete fundraising calls. Today most operational communication on these topics has moved to the Samaritan parent site – the original TYPO3 build held up reliably through that transition.
