A specialist medical practice has to do online exactly what it does offline: listen without getting in the way. For Dr. Johann Höller, a gynaecology and obstetrics specialist based in Vienna's Alt Erlaa neighbourhood (1230), the brief was straightforward — the practice has been established for decades, and the website's job was simply to handle first contact cleanly: opening hours, services, directions, phone number. No gloss, no marketing theatre.
- Lean TYPO3 setup with a clearly structured landing page and short paths to the information patients actually look for
- Plain rendering of consultation hours and services, including preventive care, prenatal care and general gynaecology
- Wahlarzt status (private-fee practitioner working with all Austrian insurers) surfaced prominently so patients can frame billing up front
- Contact reduced to the essentials — phone and email — without unnecessary form friction
- Directions block with the Alt Erlaa address, so appointments aren't preceded by a hunt for the building
- Solid baseline SEO with clean meta data and speaking URLs aimed at local searches for "gynaecologist 1230 Vienna"
- Editable CMS backend that lets the practice team update hours and holiday notices themselves
The original build included a Powermail contact form and an embedded Google Map; today's version deliberately leans on phone and email instead — a pragmatic call by the practice that keeps the underlying structure useful years later. With rockit, Dr. Höller has a quiet, quick practice site that does its job: get found, look trustworthy, prompt the call.
