iVote Webportal

rockit built a TYPO3 community portal for iVote, letting partners manage their own locations and events independently, with everything in one place.

back to overview

iVote ran a growing network of partner locations and events — and needed a platform that could make that network visible to the public while keeping it manageable behind the scenes. The core requirement: partners should be able to update their own locations and events directly in the frontend, without backend training or going through an agency every time. At the same time, the portal had to serve as the central hub for the entire iVote community — combining an interactive map, news, surveys and an integrated shop in one coherent interface.

  • TYPO3 implementation with Extbase and Fluid for structured, maintainable content
  • Frontend self-management: iVote partners update their own locations and events independently
  • Full Google Maps integration for interactive display of the partner network
  • Social media integration to extend community reach and content sharing
  • Shop module for beverage orders placed directly through the portal
  • Survey extension for user feedback and community polls
  • Integrated news system for updates and announcements
  • jQuery-powered frontend interactions for a smooth user experience
  • Web design created in close collaboration with graphic designer Richard Wimmer

The result is a community platform that gives iVote partners real editorial autonomy: update a location, announce an event, run a poll — all without going through an intermediary. The platform built with rockit demonstrates how TYPO3 with Extbase can handle complex multi-stakeholder networks: one backend, many individual presences, one coherent portal.
