KlimaEntLaster is Austria's national cargo bike initiative, funded by the Climate and Energy Fund and run by a consortium of advocacy groups, research institutions and consulting firms. The mission is straightforward: help businesses swap diesel vans for electric cargo bikes. Beyond advocacy, the initiative offers hands-on consulting, sharing services, test events and applied research — all coordinated through a single digital platform.
- TYPO3 website serving as the central hub for information, programme updates and contact
- Content structure designed for a nationwide audience of SMEs, municipalities and public bodies
- Integrated publication and download area for business implementation guides
- Event and programme pages covering test rides, workshops and pilot project results
- Clear user journey from first-time visitor to consultation request
- Editorial setup built for a multi-partner consortium with shared content responsibilities
- Pilot results made visible: four out of seven businesses that joined the year-long trial in Vienna and Graz went on to purchase e-cargo bikes
The result is a platform that turns climate policy into something tangible for businesses on the ground. Built with rockit, the KlimaEntLaster website bridges research, programme delivery and public communication — making it easy to understand what cargo bike adoption actually looks like in practice.
